Mitt Romney to Headline Economic Stimulus Hearing

mittFormer Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will testify on Thursday, January 15th at 10:00 AM, at a hearing on President-Elect Obama’s economic stimulus ideas. Romney brings to the table business experience from his days at Bain Capital. He’s also known for his key role in rescuing the Salt Lake City Olympic Games.

House GOP Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) has put together the hearing at Obama’s invitation for Republicans to offer their ideas for stimulating economic growth. As you may recall, Democrats held their own hearing last week, which was only open to their committee chairman and five very sympathetic witnesses.

Cantor has invited citizens to submit their suggestions for promoting economic growth. He’s opened his website for public comments and asked Americans to use YouTube to record videos with their ideas. (You can also send your video file to gopwhip [at] gmail [dot] com)
